CANDLE HOLDERS, CRAFT BLADES, MAGNIFIERS
Craftsmen working in Horn, bone and antler very often have bits left over. Such small pieces are very often used as handles for small utility type blades, like bottle openers, cheese and letter blades, corkscrews and the like.
There is also a great demand for candle cups to be used with either turned wooden items, or at present to make up antler based candle holders, be these whole or cut pieces.
So if you require these items but weren't ware of where you could find them, then here they are...
Corkscrew steel
Old fashioned corkscrew steel with 1/4" Whitworth threaded shank top. These can be incorporated into suitable ( hard ) handle material either by self threading with adhesive ( with or without cross staking ) or by drilling and fixing to a suitably threaded ( embedded ) nut.
Handles are best fashioned from antler ( plugged or otherwise ), hardwood or Buffalo horn.
